This is so hard and awesome

Loved Boxman's Struggle and Getting Over It even though they are rage inducing. This is no exception. LOVED IT!

I gave this a go

i beat the game 2 times

Played it on my stream and I loved it! Well made, beautiful art, and nice controls. Hard at first, lots of rage screaming from bad jumps and many falls. But I managed to beat it in around 40-50 min (shocked by ending, laughed in confusion lol) and then beat it again in just 10 min https://www.twitch.tv/videos/376132627

This game is truly a moment of emotion. The events are a mix of frustation, anger, accomplishment and emptiness. You wake up in bed with a luxurious pogo stick in front of you, how delightful! Sent by the local mail company, they ask you to join their business to deliver wishes to an unknown buyer.

A bit worried but amazed at how much they give every deliver, you apply the job. A day later, you suit up and go to the journey to deliver wishes after you make your own which they said "Will be delivered by another applicant". You jump over the mountains, scour over the rocks, and you end up in Santa's house. After delivering the wish, you look at the list. its full of your name. How could this happen? But before you realize it, a big foot comes down at you, and NOTHING.......... But then....

You wake up in bed with a luxurious pogo stick in front of you, how delightful! Feels familiar but still, something new for free is always good. Sent by the local mail company, they ask you to join their business to deliver wishes to an unknown buyer.

I RAGED HARD AND I DIDNT GET MY WISH TO BE HOKAGE!

Made a lil video of this a while ago and it was hilariously frustrating. I  gave up. That's for sure.

It seemed pretty cool, but I was stuck in the same place for almost 10 minutes before I decided to give up.

Heh, it's nice to see that this game made it on itch.io as well! It was a lovely Global Game Jam 2018 entry and I had ridiculously much fun with it, even though some of the user-generated letters should be moderated in my opinion. ;> Anyway, it's "Getting Over It" featuring a pogo stick, so what could go wrong, eh? Great stuff, that's why I wrote a recommendation article about it and made a little video as well. Thanks for the game, Chasing Carrots! Looking forward to your projects in the future. <3

Best wishes,
Sebastian

Hey Sebastian,

thanks for enduring Pogo Postman :D
And thanks for the recommendation as well!

Making it was almost as much fun as watching other people play it. We agree with your opinion that the letters should be moderated. There's a lot of filthy stuff in there. But we didn't have the resouces do pull that off. So we decided to take a hands off approach. A few of those letters are really deep and thouching, though.

So, happy gaming and curating! You do awsome work!

Bye!
Your Carrots

Dear Carrots,

you're always welcome. <3 Glad you liked the recommendation! And sure, I can understand why you don't have the resources to moderate a jam game, that's fairly common and understandable. :) As you already said, some of the letters are quite the opposite: Touching and lovely. <3 So be proud of your work! :)

Best wishes,
Sebastian

I LOVED THIS! :D
Definitely see the "Getting Over It" inspiration. The fact this was made in such a short time though and looks and plays this good, is incredible!
Managed to complete it too which I'm very proud about!
Oh and... I broke it too (Note to developer, see video) :P

I was a mix of emotions with this game. I had moments of accomplishment, determination and, also times of regret and, anger. I think you made the most rage inducing game on the internet to date right now! Is that a good thing? A bad thing? A little bit of both? I'm not sure! I did enjoy the game even though it made me mad at times. What does that mean? Am I a masochist? I don't know I probably don't want to know. I feel bad if my letter I was trying to deliver was an, actual homeless child. I don't  think me actually winning would help his plight though.  Great job though!

Oh my lord the mechanics in this are crazy, but I wouldn't have it any other way, unfortunately I felt great shame because I could not deliver my message and damn it was a good one, but there was definitely some rough wishes, but hey if you don't mind it I don't either, that reminds me, I wanted to check it mine was delivered hahaha, but I could not manage to get past the area next to the other dead post man, my postman definitely died there too, but if you wanted to check out the clip of your game it starts at 2:46 and ends at 7:40 :)

Fun game! I like it a lot!

My initial play through came to a screeching halt. I am stuck in postman purgatory for eternity.

This game nearly broke my mind, it teared a big hole in my soul that will probably never heal...
But you can't give up, you have to keep going because you have to prove to this postman that you are better than him while he stares at you with his dead eyes and mocking smile...

It took one of my controllers from me  (rest in peace brave soldier) but eventually I beat it.

In your face game!

Lol wasn't that hard in my opinion.

Damn! That was fast! Im almost embarassed now xD
You are good!

why not in tablet Samsung why

This is the game we needed! It's like getting over it but, even harder as, you can't grab on to things! hahahaa Plus the jumping of the pogo stick makes it hard because you have to time bounces right to get anywhere. I think this game makes getting over it easy in comparison!

You win the  internet, tonight.

Thanks for this awesome let's play! We really enjoyed it!
And thanks for breaking the game XD
Maybe we should put something on the leftmost rock... like a reward or something ^^
